Chiropractic

Our Chiropractic team treats patients with acute and chronic pain, pain from injury or training, rehabilitation, and other health and performance issues. Our doctors actively use a combination of Active Release Techniques (ART), Functional Movement Screen (FMS), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Dry Needling, and Sound Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (SASTM) to treat his patients and strengthen areas of weakness.

Active Release Technique (ART)
ART is a patented, state-of-the-art soft tissue system/movement-based manual technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently with ART. These conditions all have one important thing in common: they are often a result of overused muscles. For more information, visit the Active Release website.

Functional Movement Screening (FMS)

Exercise & Postural Training
This may be one of the most important aspect of our care for quality of life. Most of our daily activities, such as working on the computer, place us in poor posture. Our postural and functional movement assessment will determine which muscle groups are weak and tight, contributing to muscle imbalances resulting in poor posture.  The FMS generates the Functional Movement Screen Score, which targets problem areas and links a customized list of corrective exercises directly to your FMS app portal, helping to restore mechanically sound movement patterns. Our doctors will track your progress and customize your corrective exercises to restore proper movement and build strength.

Dry Needling
Dry Needling treatment acts to mechanically disrupt physiologically locked soft tissue by inserting by hand monofilament, sterile, thin gauge needles into the soft tissue to neutralize dysfunctional soft tissue and restore or improve muscle and fascial function. Myofascial Trigger Point/Tender Point Dry Needling is a physical medicine/adjunctive/physiologic therapeutic and diagnostic technique/procedure.

Kinesio Taping
The Kinesio Taping Method facilitates the body's natural healing process while allowing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body's range of motion. It successfully treats a variety of orthopedic, neuromuscular, neurological, and medical conditions. Both Kinesio® Tex Tape and the training protocol have shown results that would have been unheard of using older methods and materials.

We are proud to partner with MovementX as our in-house Physical Therapist provider. MovementX and the ArCTIC team work seamlessly together on your treatment plan to address your pain or injury.  Physical Therapy is an essential part to healing. Designed to treat surgery and acute injury, but also treat and diagnose pain and injury, manage chronic neurological and degenerative conditions, with the intent of improving overall health and wellness, performance enhancement, and fitness training.

Physical therapy is a "conservative treatment option" by the American Medical Association, helping you recover without invasive treatments such as injections or surgery. Physical therapists utilize a combination of manual therapy, exercise, and movement analysis to help you become pain-free.

Run Coaching

Are you just getting started? Are you looking to increase mileage or get faster? Are you an experienced runner who wants some accountability? Whether you're thinking of getting off the couch to run that first 5K around the neighborhood or ready to take your training to the next level, ArCTIC Run Coaching can help you achieve your goals.

At ArCTIC, we specialize in the following:

FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT SCREEN (FMS)
FMS tests 7 basic fundamental movement patterns looking for weak links and asymmetries. We then
provide detailed corrective exercises uploaded directly to your FMS app portal to guide you in
accomplishing greater mobility, strength, and stability, contributing to greater efficiency when running.

GAIT ANALYSIS
The goal of an ArCTIC gait analysis is efficiency. Greater efficiency equates to greater distance, speed, and
power output. To accomplish this we take a three-fold approach:

  • Treadmill Assessment focusing on the big rocks (cadence, sound and vertical displacement) more than the little rocks (biomechanics and verbal cues)

  • Functional Movement Screen (FMS) tests 7 basic fundamental movement patterns looking for weak links and asymmetries. We then provide detailed corrective exercises uploaded directly to your FMS app portal to guide you in accomplishing greater mobility, strength, and stability, contributing to greater efficiency when running.

  • Brief Outdoor Run with our running coach to tie it all together
